Indigo2:
non-Impact: XL+XL, XL+XZ (fills all slots)
Impact: SI+SI, SI+HI, SI+MI, HI+HI (the last 2 options fill all slots)
Octane/Octane2:
SI+SI, SI+SSI, SI+MXI, SE+SE, SE+SSE, SE+MXE
V10+V10, V12+V12 (fills all slots?)
V12 dual-channel option (can be combined with 2 V12 options, never seen though, so no detailed information)

SI dualhead configs do not allow the Digital Video option board!.
Some more dualhead configs prevent the usage of analog/digital video options. They will be listed later when i know more.


Indigo2: Panic when trying to install IRIX
Run the hardware diagnostics (Command Monitor -> 3. Run Diagnostics). If everything is OK, try moving SIMMs from bank0 to bank2 or vice versa and check your CDROM (internal: sled snapped in?, external: proper termination? cable problem?).

Octane/Octane2: Lightbar

Octane: Sudden freezes/crashes, won't power on (lightbar red)
The red lightbar indicates a major defunct. It's very likely that your CPU board is broken. This is mostly caused by the old revision (030-0887-XXX) which had some serious trouble. Check if its connected properly to the XBOW. If that changes nothing, replace it with the new revision (030-1467-XXX) which also supports R14k cpu's and 8GB ram instead of 2GB.


Octane/Octane2, Indigo2: Freezes/Crashes (Dualhead or VPro)
Indigo2 systems with dualhead/Impact graphics, Octane systems with dualhead graphics and Octane2 systems with VPro graphics are affected. Replace your PSU with a larger one supplying sufficent power for the graphics type.

Each PSU can replace the previous one(s).
